The Poison Control Center

SEPTEMBER 14 – DAY OFF
Day 97.  As we were driving on the interstate heading away from Tulsa, I was nodding off.  Suddenly I was startled awake by a loud “BANG!”  I looked in the side mirror and saw the rubber flapping off our rear wheel.  Sitting on the shoulder of the highway, waiting for the AAA service truck to arrive, Patrick strummed on a guitar into the wind.  Devin read a book, Dave worked on a Sudoku puzzle and I re-stringed our other acoustic guitar, looking off into the distance at the fields, farms and cattle.  It was pretty serene.  When the truck arrived, I was actually wishing for more time.  But the tire was removed and the spare put on in no time, and we were back on the road.
The pet we met:  Fancy
The pad was rad:  Gary & Barb
