OCTOBER 1 – BOURBON THEATER, LINCOLN CALLING FESTIVAL, LINCOLN, NE [SHOW#92]
Day 114.  26,915 miles.  Our second visit to Lincoln on this tour, and our first to the Lincoln Calling festival.  When we got into town we met up with the festival’s organizer, Jeremy Buckley, for some food and beers.  He is a totally rad dude and gave us the best treatment we’ve had on this tour.  The streets of Downtown Lincoln were alive with traffic, the sidewalks filled with people running about, having food and drinks on streetside patios.  Bands were spread all over town playing the various clubs.  We got to see so many friends:  Mike, Matt, and Colby from Head of Femur, Landon from Little Brazil, The guys in The Envy Corps, Brad from Talking Mountain, Darren from The Show Is The Rainbow, etc.  Afterwards we got to crash in a sweet hotel room courtesy of the festival, holy cow!
The jam in the van:  Lou Reed Coney Island Baby / The Kinks Lola vs. Powerman and the Moneygoround / Dennis Wilson Pacific Ocean Blue
The word we heard:  “I hope you’re housebroken someday.” –Police Officer ticketing someone in the alley for public urination.
We adore the door:  Austin
Sound Tech we respect:  Chris
Dinner was a winner:  YiaYia Pizza
Sticks, strings and broken things:  Patrick – 1 A string, 1 fuse
The fill of the bill:  Conduits / Cowboy Indian Bear / Masses
David your bros will be drinking, falling, you’ll be DD at Lincoln Calling
Monument / Being Gone / Pacific Sunrise / Don’t Go / Magic Circle Symphony / By The Wave / Camille Claudel / A Collage of Impressions / When The World Sleeps
