The Poison Control Center make Quaker Goes Deaf’s top 50 albums of the year at #35 #35:  The Poison Control Center—Sad Sour Future   (Afternoon)      On their 5th album since 2001 this Iowa band delivers a sort of exuberant, melodic & fun pop/rock in a  “classic” indie rock style.  Songs are endearing & fresh, with an 80s/90s feel—packed with charmingly jagged tunes & disarming auditory surprises.  Reminiscent of bands like Pavement, Archers Of Loaf, They Might Be Giants, Weezer, Guided By Voices, Feelies, Free Energy.
