![MARCH 12 – ALPHABET HOUSE. DENTON, TX [SHOW #169]
[JT] Drove into the night after the Shreveport show to get to Denton, where we stayed at the new home of Eric (Fishboy) and his wife Carleen. Also staying there was Eric’s friend Chris from Seattle. He works for the Bumbershoot Festival and was down this week in Texas for 35 Conferette and SXSW. We chatted with them for a little while before hitting the sack.
After getting up and around the next morning we went over to the Alphabet House to play an unofficial day show outside of the 35C festival. The show was held on the back patio of the house to a backyard audience. It was a nice time and the weather was beautiful. At dusk, when the show wrapped up, we stopped by the grocery store on the way back to Eric & Carleen’s house. We stayed in and watched some youtube clips, the Dateline expose on Charlie Sheen, and the documentary film about Troll 2.
The word we heard: “Cha-Ching!” –Seth Green
Dinner was a winner: Carleen’s vegan chili
The pad was rad: Eric & Carleen
