The Poison Control Center

The Poison Control Center will not be playing June 29th at The Vaudeville Mews that was a miscommunication. But you should still go It’s Tone Zone Bachelor Party at The Weelers, the Slats, and the legendary Aaron Hefley is back so POOKEY BLEUM will be making an appearance!  and Maybe even JOE TERRY!

But a week later PCC will be gracing the Mews stage on July 6th at the 8035 After Party with Pure Gut, and Ramona and the Swimsuits join us as we close out another year of 8035

Saturday June 8th we celebrate the return of Devin’s Mantis Pincers with a show at the Vaudeville Mews.. rumor has it there will be new tunes.. with Wheelers and Quick Piss!  Get down to the Vaud for this killer late show!

Also want to take a second and salute our always 6th member… our booking agent Shawn Krueger on his B-day..

Shawn is an amazing painter, conversation man, vegan, and he knows more then you do about Belle and Sebastian! He will also be a papa next month we couldn’t be more excited for him!  Happy B-day Shawner! 

The Poison Control Center will be playing Gingers in Cedar Falls with TWINS on Friday May 31st at 9pm!  

Come hang it will be great!  Trent Derby and Derek Lambert will be joining us and will be playing the songs you may or may not want to hear! See you soon! Cedar Falls has got one of the coolest music scenes going, so we are excited to be a part of it for a night!

Happy Birthday to Mr. David B. Olsen today!  Our young gun behind the kit is another year older today! Dave joined us in 2010 and from day one was the up most pro behind the kit!  I don’t know anyone who can keep better time, while keeping his eyes closed and his head back!  I love his work on Stranger Ballet, his fills and craftsmanship behind the kit really shines on the record and he makes all those songs so much better!  Dave I hope your eating bagels and drinking brews in Brooklyn today!  Dave will be back in Iowa for our 80/35 After Party!  BE THERE!

Don’s new band Histo debut is finally released on Bandcamp!  I think it’s one of the best rock albums to ever come out of Iowa!  Congrats to Donald Ephraim and the band, this is amazing!

Happy B-day to the one and only Joe Terry!  The Poison Control Center’s tall warrior of whimsical wisdom is another year older and most likely another year bolder!  We wanted to send him b-day wishes and thank him for all the glorious bass lines while wearing a overalls and singing hard into the microphone with his eyes as wide open as humanly possible.. The Don’t Go’s, the Friends in the Band, the Some Ordinary Visions that we love to jump around and rock too. You are the king of swing and we all miss the piss out of you!  We hope your are swinging your son around like you swing your hips while dancing.. We love ya Happy B-day
